Peintre orientaliste anglais du XIXème siècle, John Lewis séjourne pendant 10 ans au Caire vers 1850. Il se tient à l'’écart de la communauté occidentale et adopte même le costume local. Dans cette version peinte à l'huile d'une aquarelle de 1876, il montre son épouse, habillée à l'orientale, dans la chaleur de l'après-midi. La relative fraîcheur de l'intérieur est montrée par des couleurs contrastées et éclatantes. Puzzle de 500 pièces. Dimensions du puzzle assemblé : 36 x 29 cm.
